Yulonda Denise Forbes, 58, of Dillwyn, VA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at Hospice of the Piedmont Center for Acute Hospice Care. She was born on September 29, 1966, in Washington, DC to the late Henry and Gladys Jones. Yulonda was a beacon of warmth and compassion, always there for anyone in need, no matter the circumstance. Her presence was like a bright smile that could light up a room, a reflection of her genuine kindness and selflessness. With a heart full of love, she dedicated her life to helping others, whether by lending a hand or simply offering a listening ear. A proud graduate of Key Business College, Yulonda held an associate's degree and used her skills to serve her community. As a dedicated mail clerk for the United States Postal Service, she became an essential part of the Charlottesville and Albemarle County areas, as well as Farmville and Buckingham County in Virginia. Her commitment to her work and the people she served made her a pivotal figure in these communities. Yulonda's love for her family was unmatched. She was a devoted wife and mother, cherishing every moment spent with her loved ones and her beloved puppy, Dallas. Each day, she embraced the joy of going to work, knowing she would return to the warmth of her home and the laughter of her family. A true embodiment of hard work, love, and dedication, Yulonda's legacy will always be remembered by those who were fortunate enough to know her. She is survived by her husband, Irvin Forbes, Jr.; her brother, Bruce Jones; her children, Dominique Jones, Antwan Chambers (Tatiana), Jhordan Ingram (Brandon Walker), and Dallas Forbes; and her granddaughter, Jah'rai Jones.
