Violetta Fassett March 18, 1940 - March 7, 2025 Violetta Fassett, age 84, of Louisa, VA, passed away peacefully at her residence on March 7, 2025, with family by her side. She was born on March 18, 1940, in Philadelphia, PA, and lived a life full of warmth, creativity, and generosity. Violetta dedicated her career to public service as a space management supervisor, working for the government. Beyond her professional life, she was a gifted master seamstress who found joy in creating beautiful curtains and trimmings for her home. She had a keen eye for interior decorating, transforming her surroundings into spaces of comfort and elegance. Violetta also nurtured her love for gardening, finding peace and fulfillment in tending to her plants. An avid reader, she found solace and adventure within the pages of countless books. Violetta's greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her beloved children, Vanessa C. Jones (Lorenzo Mallory), Cheryl Fassett, Albert W. Carter, John D. Carter, and Bruce A. Carter. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Alisha C. Navarro, Lemuel Q. Jones, and Tony D. Jones, as well as her adored great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother, Sara Carroll; her brother, Wesley Carroll; and her dear Aunt May Murray. Violetta was a woman of kindness and generosity, always ready to lend a helping hand. She never met a stranger, greeting everyone with warmth and an open heart. Her spirit of giving and her love for family and friends will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
