Tina Marie Peterson, 64, of Buena Vista, VA, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at her sister’s residence in Dyke, VA. She was born on October 9, 1961, in Staunton, VA, to the late Charles and Martha Myers.
Tina lived her life with a creative spirit, a caring heart, and a laugh that could brighten even the darkest day. She found beauty in the little things and expressed it through her many talents. Whether she was carefully creating intricate cross-stitch pieces, making art, or putting her thoughts into poetry, Tina had a remarkable gift for turning simple moments into something meaningful.
A natural caregiver, Tina was always willing to lend a helping hand and offer comfort to those around her. Her kindness and compassion touched countless lives, and she found great purpose in caring for others. Above all, she was a devoted and loving sister whose family meant the world to her.
Music was one of Tina's greatest joys, filling her home and her heart throughout her life. She had a beautiful laugh that was truly unforgettable, one that could fill a room with warmth and make everyone around her smile. Her gentle soul, creative mind, and loving nature will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
She is survived by her siblings, Elizabeth Lawhorn, Brenda S. DePriest (husband, Wayne), and Teresa Myers Jones (husband, Tommy); numerous nieces and nephews; and her dog, Houdini.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Peterson; and her siblings, Jerry W. Myers and Barbara J. Harris.
