Roger Lee Jenkins, Jr.

Roger Lee Jenkins, Jr., 52, of Charlottesville, VA, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at his residence. He was born on June 29, 1974, in Suffolk, VA, to the late Roger Jenkins, Sr. and Terry Shellito Jenkins.

Roger grew up in Charlottesville, Virginia, before making his way to Michigan, where he raised his family and built a life centered around those he loved most. He spent many years working in construction and was known for his hardworking nature. Eventually, Roger returned home to Virginia, bringing with him a lifetime of memories and experiences. Above all else, his greatest joy was being a father. Roger truly loved his three girls, and the love and pride he had for them were an important part of who he was.

He is survived by his three girls, Kyah, Kendra, and Kaylah; his two fur babies, Nugget and Bear; his brother, Bobby Jenkins; his sister, Wendy Clark; his five nephews and two nieces, and numerous other family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his uncles, Art Shellito, Ronnie Jenkins, and Tony Jenkins; and his aunt, Mary Page.

A service to celebrate and remember Roger’s life will be announced once arrangements have been finalized.
