Robert "Bobby" Lee Stacy passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 12, 2023, one day after his 65th birthday. Bobby was born in St. John's Newfoundland, Canada to his parents, Lee Sheppard and Hazel Wells Stacy, both deceased; and was beloved by his grandparents, Carl and Mary Keel Stacy, also deceased. Bobby mourned the deaths of his son, Robert "Robbie" Lee Stacy, Jr; and sisters Linda and Chris Stacy, all who left way too early. Bobby leaves to cherish his memory, daughter, Christie Sowell; son, Robert Sowell; step-sons, Kevin and Michael Quillon; brother, William Scott Stacy (Jennifer); and sisters, Toni Stacy and Lisa Branch; grandchildren Keara, Shania, David, Kiari, Cameron; and one great grandchild, Teyson; niece, Renee Herndon (Patrick); an uncle, several aunts; and many cousins throughout Canada. In addition to family, Bobby will be forever remembered by friends who were teammates from his days of playing basketball, football, and softball or those who joined him as he passionately celebrated and enjoyed his days of youth. Bobby attended Rock Hill and Fork Union Military Academies; and Ferrum College. Before surrendering to a medical disability, Bobby's passion became his work with Camryn Executive Transportation and Limousine. There he was preferred by clients probably because he was on-time, deliberate, and got the job done with just the right amount of words. Bobby quietly but powerfully loved God, his family, and any UVA team sport; he was a huge Wahoo fan and will be forever missed. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 18th at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Episcopal, 5607 Gordonsville Road, Keswick, VA 22947. Changes for inclement weather will be announced via social media. An online guestbook is available at www.compassionatecremationva.com Compassionate Cremation Services of Ruckersville, VA is handling the arrangements. Our fear of death is like our fear that summer will be short, but when we have had our swing of pleasure, our fill of fruit, and our swelter of heat, we say we have had our day. -Ralph Waldo Emerson Nothing Gold Can Stay Robert Frost Nature's first green is gold, Her hardest hue to hold. Her early leaf's a flower; But only so an hour. Then leaf subsides to leaf. So Eden sank to grief, So dawn goes down to day. Nothing gold can stay.
