Rene Arlene
Terry
Jun 4, 1979 — Jul 8, 2026
In Loving Memory of Rene Arlene Terry
Rene Arlene Terry was born on June 4, 1979, in Charlottesville, Virginia, and passed away peacefully on July 8, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Rene graduated from the International School of Business, where she earned her Associate’s degree. She dedicated much of her life to helping operate Charlottesville Truck Rentals, a family business she took great pride in. Whether through her work or in her personal life, Rene was known for her strong work ethic, generous spirit, and unwavering willingness to help others. She gave freely of herself, often putting the needs of those she loved before her own and rarely asked for anything in return.
Family was the center of Rene’s world. She shared 19 wonderful years with her devoted life partner, Frankie Gault, building a life together centered on love, family, and unwavering support. Rene cherished every moment spent with her loved ones and created a home that was always filled with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love. Her compassion extended beyond people. She had a deep love for animals and always made room in her heart and home for them.
Rene is survived by her loving parents, June Terry (Taylor) and Joseph Terry Jr.; her devoted life partner of 19 years, Frankie Gault; her children, Terence Tyree, Carmen Tyree, Kierra Johnson-Gault, Adrian Gault, and Isaiah Gault; her brother, Joseph Terry III, and his wife, Roslyn Terry (Wilson); Frankie’s parents, Cheryl Gault (Wayne) and Frankie Gault Sr.; her aunts, April Rice, Kendra Stribling (Jeffery), and Bea Ann Thacker (Buddy); and many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Frankie Gault III; her paternal grandparents, Joseph Terry Sr. and Dorothy Terry; her maternal grandparents, Patrick Taylor and Hazel Taylor; and her aunt, Diane Terry-Green.
Rene’s kindness, strength, and selfless heart touched countless lives. She lived a life of service, always ready to help others while expecting nothing in return. Her legacy of compassion, generosity, and unconditional love will continue to live on through the many people whose lives she touched. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Compassionate Cremation Services of Ruckersville, Virginia is honored to serve the family.
