On May 19, 2026, Rebecca Ann Christesen London, beloved daughter of Eldon Hugh and Elaine Lindsay Christesen, passed away in Charlottesville, Virginia. Becky, as she was known throughout her life, was born on July 6, 1962, in Denver, Colorado, the youngest of four children, and the only girl, known by her brothers as “the princess.”
As a young girl, Becky moved with her family to Virginia. She graduated from the former Robert E. Lee High School in Springfield, VA. At age 23 Becky married Craig London and they had one daughter. After the marriage ended, Becky and her daughter moved to Topeka Kansas, where Eldon and Elaine had relocated after retirement. While in Kansas, Becky married a wonderful man, Tim McNeal, who became an important life-long-father-figure in her daughter’s life. This marriage, too, eventually ended and Becky returned to Virginia where she met future beloved partner Dave Stein, who predeceased Becky in 2020. Becky lived out the remainder of her life in Springfield, Spotsylvania, and Gordonsville, Virginia. During her life Becky worked in a variety of positions, with her favorite as a dog walker. Becky loved animals, especially her own beloved poodle “Angel.” Becky was known for her laugh, her smile, her red hair, and her very sassy outlook on life.
She is survived by one daughter, Lindsay Marie Brewer (Brian); one grandchild and joy of her life, Camden Brewer; three brothers, Richard (Karen), Ed (Kathleen), and Steven (Laurie) Christesen; nephews, Michael (Mary), Jason (Julie); Brien (Lisa), Eric (Julie), Joseph (Sarah), Tyler (Jessica), and Dean (Audrey) Christesen; many great nieces and nephews; and many loving and supportive friends, including Sharon Rogers.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Hospice of the Piedmont, Hospice House Fund, 675 Peter Jefferson Parkway, Suite 300, Charlottesville, VA 22911, or hopva.org
