Phyllis Busco Ayres, 86, of Charlottesville, VA passed away peacefully on January 15, 2024. She was born on October 26,1937 to the late Ralph and Jennie Busco. Phyllis was born and raised in Jamesburg, New Jersey. After marrying, she lived a short time in North Carolina, before she and her husband Tom moved to the Jersey shore where they raised 5 children in Seaside Park. In 1992, they retired to Bridgewater, Va to be closer to their grandchildren. Phyllis enjoyed gardening, watching British mystery movies and spending time with family. She was very proud of her Italian American heritage. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tom; her daughter, Ellen; and her brother, Anthony Busco. She is survived by her daughters, Colleen Ayres Bagarello (Tom, deceased), and Karen Ayres Bodoh (Keith); her sons, Thomas III (Brook), and Matthew (Cindy); her brothers, Ralph Busco, Jr (Junie), and Thomas Busco; as well as 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
