Patrick Cline Shifflett (PC), 57, of Stanardsville, VA, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026, at the University of Virginia Medical Center. He was born on September 30, 1968, in Charlottesville, VA, to Henry and Patty Shifflett.
PC was a graduate of William Monroe High School, where he was a true all-around athlete, earning varsity letters in baseball, football, and basketball. His strong work ethic followed him into adulthood, where he built a career as a dedicated and dependable foreman at Martin Horn. He took great pride in his work and deeply valued the crew he worked alongside, including lifelong friend, James. He held a special appreciation for his supervisor, Pam, and the teamwork they shared.
Outside of work, PC found joy in the outdoors, especially hunting with his dogs, a pastime that brought him both peace and purpose. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to his family whenever it was needed, placing great importance on being there for those he loved. PC also enjoyed friendly games of cornhole and treasured time spent at the lake with family, making memories filled with laughter and connection.
PC will be remembered for his loyalty, hardworking spirit, and the love he showed through his actions. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his fiancé of 19 years, Rachel Miller; son Patrick Shifflett (Courtney); daughter, Sara Dawn Manor (Duncan); his sister, Kandie Shifflett (Heather); his nephews Tyler Powell and Matthew Shifflett; and a numerous Aunts and Uncles.
A service to honor Patrick’s life will be announced at a later date.
