He was self-employed much of his life, most recently doing construction and landscaping work until his retirement. Jerry grew up in Belmont and worked at Belmont Market for numerous years, where he was loved by all. In addition to being an excellent cook, Jerry was an avid gardener and grew his own vegetables. He'd give you the shirt off his back and all the vegetables in his garden if he thought you needed them. Jerry loved music, especially Bob Marley and Carlos Santana. He loved to watch Andy Griffith and the Beverly Hillbillies, read the newspaper, talk sports and politics, cheer for his Mami Hurricanes and the Atlanta Braves, and stay connected with close friends, many of them life-long. He also loved animals and had many four-legged best friends over the years, especially his beloved "Kimo". Jerry will be greatly missed, especially his quick wit, dry humor and caring soul. Rest easy "Uncle Jerry".....we love you. A memorial service will be planned for the near future to celebrate his life.
