Obituary

Nancy Brock, 66, of Madison, VA, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at UVA Culpeper Medical Center. She was born on July 24, 1958, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Edward and Nancy Kane. Nancy was born in the vibrant city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where her spirited personality first took root. She spent her early years there before eventually settling in Williamstown, New Jersey, a place she called home for many years. Later in life, she made her way to Virginia, bringing her warm heart and unshakable sense of humor wherever she went. A proud and devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan, Nancy cheered on her team with unwavering loyalty. Whether it was game day or just a casual chat, she was always ready to share her Eagles pride. One of the greatest joys in Nancy's life was her friendship with Tonie Fincham, whom she lovingly called her sister. The two were inseparable, affectionately known as "Thelma and Louise," always off on little adventures. Whether it was a drive to grab iced coffee or simply spending quiet time together, their bond was a beautiful example of chosen family and lifelong friendship. Nancy also shared a deep and tender connection with her beloved dog, Casper. He was her constant companion and source of comfort, always by her side and loved dearly. Through all chapters of her life, from the busy city of Philadelphia, PA to the quiet mountains of Madison, Virginia, Nancy was known for her warmth, loyalty, and deep love for those closest to her. She is survived by her children, Joseph Kane (Sabrina), Nancy "Missy" E. Ammad (Ammad Syed), Kelly Ann Breeden, Crystal L. Chidster, Steven P. Seidle, Jason B. Seidle, and Jamie Morris; her grandchildren, Jalen Kane, Jasmine Kane, Josiah Kane, Jax Kane, CJ Harrell, Spencer Harrell, Nicholas Harrell, Connor Harrell, Tyler Harrell, Madison Harrell, Nikayla Williams, Lucas Williams, Jospeh Breeden, Cameron Tapley, Julian Tapley, Landon Seidle, Dominik Davis, Cassidy Davis, and Hunter Collier; and best friend, Tonie Fincham. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, William "Billy" E. Seidle; and her brothers, James E. Kane, Joseph P. Kane, and Edward J. Kane.
