Mary Josephine Morrill, 88, of Ruckersville, VA, passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at The Laurels of Charlottesville. She was born on December 11, 1936, in Dairy Township, PA, to the late Lewis and Caroline Mock. Mary Jo lived her life guided by her strong Christian faith and values. She was baptized on February 14, 1978, a moment that marked the foundation of her lifelong commitment to the Lord. Deeply devoted to her church, Mary Jo remained active in its ministries for many years, until health challenges required her to be homebound. A loving and dedicated mother, Mary Jo raised five children before pursuing higher education. She attended Anne Arundel Community College, earning her associate's degree in computer programming. Her professional path included serving as the office manager for the Annapolis Church of Christ, where her work was a natural extension of her faith, and later for a local surveying company. Mary Jo found joy in life's simple and meaningful pleasures-reading a good book, crocheting beautiful handmade pieces, and cooking meals that brought loved ones together. Her faith, dedication, and gentle spirit touched the lives of all who knew her, leaving behind a legacy of love, perseverance, and devotion. She is survived by her children, Bonnie Lynn Morrill, Curtis Dean Morrill (wife, Linda), Kenneth Wayne Morrill, Brenda Lee Morrill, and Scott Allen Morrill; her grandchildren, Randy Lee Garner, Adam Phillip Mitchell, Robert Francis Morrill, Curtis Dean Morrill Jr., Kimberly Morrill, Annmarie Morrill and Christine Morrill. A private service will be held at Holly Memorial Gardens.
