Margaret Janiece Taylor (Maddox) Our beloved Margie (also known as Maggie) entered eternal life on Thursday, June 29, 2023. She was born on April 25, 1958, to the late Janiece Kane and William H. Taylor, in Darby, PA. She was a loving wife to William (Bill) H. Maddox and a second mom to sons William (BiBi) and Chris Maddox. Margie is known for her deep faith and love of God, her sense of humor, kindness, generosity, curiosity, keen sense of observation, baking cupcakes for dialysis staff and patients, Thanksgiving sweet potato pies, and homemade Christmas dog biscuits. She loved all dogs and provided a loving home to many. She was an avid supporter of the high school football teams her husband coached. Margie never met a stranger and loved sending cards to loved ones and anyone needing encouragement. She was an early riser for quiet time with God, and an avid walker. Margie loved deeply and was deeply loved. She is survived by her brother, William Kane Jr.; her sister, JoAnne Stewart; her stepsons; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; and her sister, Joyce. Margie is grateful for the expert and compassionate care received from UVA Medical Center, her PCP Dr. Murray, and Hospice of the Piedmont. Margie (Maggie) will be forever loved and remembered. An informal gathering for friends and family to share stories and a picnic lunch is being planned for a later date.
