Mallorie Y. Bryant, an angel here on earth, joined the heavenly choir on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at the age of 70.

Mallorie is preceded in death by her husband, Cleophus Bryant Sr; parents, James E. Twyman and Stella M. Twyman; brother, Peter A. Twyman; sisters, Natalie A. Twyman and Cynthia Cox; honorary daughter, Sherry “Honey” Bradwell; grandchildren, Elijah T. Bryant, Cereniti L. Bryant, and Kahli Curry; and great grandchild, Royal Fortune.

Mallorie’s memory will by cherished by her children, Cleophus Byrant Jr (Tameka), Shannon Bryant (Keven), Tiffany Braynt-Thomas (Tyrone); grandchildren, Trejon, Dajahnae, JaMarus, Destynee, Kyaisa, DaTayveyus, Nathaniel, Chloe, JaMari, Siandra, and Raekwon; great-grandchildren, Kahden, Taequan, Kahleb, Ah’Zahne, and Si’rod; and siblings, LaVon Wells (Alvin), Shawn Latson, Larry Twyman (Cynthia), Michael Twyman, and Barbara Twyman.

Mallorie was introduced to the Lord at an early age, laying the foundation for a life of enduring faith. In more recent years, she became a pioneer with Jehovah's Witnesses, faithfully dedicating her time to sharing her beliefs with others. Her trust in Jehovah remained steadfast throughout her life and was a source of strength and peace.

Above all else, Mallorie's life was centered on loving and caring for her family. Affectionately known as "Ma," "Mommy," and "Granny," she embraced not only her own family but also many others who came to know and love her. She found joy in reading, cooking, playing board games, and watching classic movies and television shows. Her infectious laugh, kind heart, and welcoming spirit brought smiles to everyone around her and will be remembered always.

The family extends their heartfelt appreciation to Mallorie's spiritual family at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses for their unwavering love, support, and encouragement.

A memorial service celebrating Mallorie's life will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 665 Old Lynchburg Road, Charlottesville, VA 22902.

Following the service, family and friends are invited to gather for a repast at the Hilton Garden Inn, 1793 Richmond Road, Charlottesville, VA 22911.
