Leita Deliree Smith, 65, of Charlottesville, VA, passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at the University of Virginia Medical Center. She was born on March 3, 1956, in Charlottesville, VA to the late Joseph Irvin Seal and Margaret Kathryn Seal. She is survived by her children, Roger D. Evans, Jr., Rebecca "Becky" Evans, Jan-Nel Smith, and Virginia "Jenny" Newton; her siblings, Brenda Carpenter, Robert Seal and William "Billy" Seal; her grandchildren, Ashley Ragland, Christopher "CJ" Putnam, Andrew Martin, Whitney Evans, Rachel Evans, Roger Evans III, Ryan Evans, Jeremiah Summers, and Isabella Spears; and a special niece, Heather Carr Bowler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Michael Smith, Jean S. Carr, Patsey Seal, John Seal, and Garland Seal. The family will be holding a memorial service for Mrs. Smith and will announce once plans are completed.
