Kenneth Inglima, known by many as “Shallel,” was born on November 11, 1962, on Long Island, New York, to Peter and Mary Inglima. He passed away on October 13, 2026, in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Shallel was a beloved member of the Charlottesville music community. An electrical engineer and talented musician, he shared his skills and passion for music with others in many ways. He worked in sound production for local musical groups and installed sound systems in restaurants throughout the area. He was also the person many turned to when their equipment needed repair, always willing to lend his knowledge and expertise.
He is survived by his partner of 35 years, Iela Denise Tynan, and numerous extended family members.
Shallel touched the lives of so many through his talents and connections within the local music community. He will be deeply missed by the many friends, loved ones, and other members of the community whose lives he enriched.
A celebration of his life will be held on November 4, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at The Vault, located at 300 East Main Street, Charlottesville, Virginia. Friends and members of the community are welcome to gather and celebrate his life and legacy.
