Joseph Martin Terry, Jr.

Joseph Martin Terry Jr. of Charlottesville, VA, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at the age of 67. Joseph was born in Gary, Indiana, to the late Joseph M. Terry Sr. & Dorothy Terry.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Dianne Terry Green and his daughter, René Terry.

Joseph was a Custom Paint & Remodeler in the Charlottesville area for over 40 years, and worked side by side with his son for over 17 years. He enjoyed fishing, working on electronics, and was an avid lover of clocks of any kind. You always enjoyed a laugh while in his company.

Joe is survived by his wife of 47 years, June Terry; his son, Joseph Terry III and wife Roslyn of Troy, VA; his sisters, Dorothy Joe Rudd (Tom) of Florida and Bea Ann Thacker (Buddy) of Charlottesville; several grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a host of nieces & nephews.

Beyond his love for family & friends, he shared an unbreakable bond with his two cherished pets, PeeWee and Rocky.
