Joanne Marie Drape, 81, of Charlottesville, VA, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025, at Charlottesville Health and Rehab. She was born on October 12, 1943, in New Brunswick, NJ, to the late Julius and Genevieve Pasukinski. Joanne was a remarkable woman whose strength and devotion defined her life. A proud single mother of four, she faced every challenge with courage and determination, always putting her children first. Through tireless work and unwavering love, Joanne created a home filled with warmth, support, and resilience. She was as creative as she was strong. Joanne had a special talent for sewing and found joy in crafting, whether she was stitching clothes, making gifts, or creating something beautiful from simple materials, her hands were always busy with love. Joanne's legacy lives on in the hearts of her children, in the many things she made with love, and in the quiet strength that shaped her life. She is survived by her daughters, Lynn Marfitt and husband Robert, Stephanie Crooks and husband Greg, and Vicki Hoovis and husband Norman; her brothers, Ray Pasukinski and wife Jeannie, and Bobby Pasukinski; her grandchildren, Amber Marfitt-Frangipane and husband Nick, Raymond Crooks, Juliann Marfitt, Rebecca Marfitt-Kroh and husband Ryan, Katie Crooks and wife Kayla, and Jennifer Hoovis; two great grandchildren, Hunter Marfitt-Kroh, and Sophia; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Drape; and her siblings, Patty Redrow, Julius Pasukinski, and Richard Pasukinski. Services for Joanne will be private.
