James "Jimbo" Neil Warren, 72, passed away on May 7, 2026. He was born on June 11, 1954, in Brooklyn, New York. Jimbo grew up in New Jersey before later settling in Central Virginia, where he spent much of his life. He also spent many years returning to Smoke Hole, West Virginia, a place he deeply enjoyed.

Jimbo enjoyed the outdoors, especially fly and trout fishing, hunting, and riding motorcycles. He was a talented woodworker and an avid mandolin player who enjoyed sharing music with others.

He is survived by his son, Michael Warren; stepson, Ian Lewis; partner, Marguerite Taliaferro; stepdaughter, Kristy; grandchildren, Bayleigh, Marlee, and Elijah; sisters, Barbara Jean Doyle and Denise Adams; and brothers, Harry Warren, John Warren, and Mark Warren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanette McCutchen; father, Harry Warren; and brother, Neil Warren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 23, 2026, in Smoke Hole, West Virginia, at 5450 Smoke Hole, Upper Tract, WV 26866.
