James Patras, 77, of Louisa, VA, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026, at the Hospice House in Charlottesville, VA.

James was a hardworking and driven man who believed in staying busy and living life in motion. After completing two years of college, he built a career defined by dedication, leadership, and an entrepreneurial spirit.

James worked for Pepsi, where he was known for his strong work ethic and reliability. He later served as Manager at Gus’s Steakhouse, where his natural leadership and ability to connect with people made him a respected and valued presence. Eventually, James followed his independent spirit and became the proud owner of Zeus’s Recycling, a business that reflected both his commitment to hard work and his love of being outdoors.

He truly enjoyed working and preferred to be outside whenever he could. James was rarely still, always on the move, always planning the next task, and always ready to lend a hand. His energy, determination, and steady presence will be remembered by all who knew him.

He is survived by his son, James Patras.
