Jacqueline “Jacque” Ann Goode

Jacqueline “Jacque” McEndree Goode, 70, of Ruckersville, Virginia, passed away on August 18, 2026, leaving behind a life defined by love, generosity, laughter, and an unwavering devotion to the people she cared about.

Jacque was extraordinary. Anyone who had the privilege of knowing her knew that.

She loved her family and friends fiercely and wholeheartedly. She was the kind of person who would help anyone and everyone, never because she expected anything in return, but simply because that was who she was. She was kind, generous, funny, loyal, honest, and the kind of friend everyone hopes to have in their lifetime.

Jacque had an incredible ability to see the good in people, even when they had trouble seeing it in themselves. She made people feel loved, valued, and important. Her happiness was contagious, her smile was almost always present, and her laugh was unforgettable. She loved deeply, stood firmly for the things she believed in, and gave the people she loved everything she had.

She found happiness in so many of life’s beautiful things: horses, music, the ocean, looking out at the mountains, cats, gardening, and helping others. Some of her most treasured moments were the simple ones, especially bird watching with her grandson, Tristan, who was truly the light of her life.

Of all the roles Jacque held throughout her life, none meant more to her than being a mother and a grandmother. She was an incredible mom and somehow an even better grandma. The love she had for her daughter, Misty, and her grandson, Tristan, was immeasurable, and they were at the center of her world.

Jacque is survived by her daughter, Misty Goode; her beloved grandson, Tristan Goode; her sister, Patricia Lupole; her nephews, Roger Knightlinger, Jason Knightlinger, and Josef Lupole; her cousins, Marybeth Farrell and Neale Farrell; and many friends and loved ones whose lives are better because she was part of them.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Jacqueline McEndree, and her father, David McEndree.

There are people who simply pass through our lives, and then there are people who leave a piece of themselves behind in everyone they meet. Jacque was one of those rare people. Her kindness will continue in every person she helped. Her laughter will live in the stories told about her. Her love will remain in the family and friendships she treasured so deeply.

We were extraordinarily lucky to have had her, to have loved her, and to have witnessed a person so genuinely special.

She was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Jacque’s home on Saturday, September 12, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. Those wishing to attend may contact Misty for additional information.
