Jacob Alan Zimmerman, 53, of Gordonsville, VA, passed away peacefully and surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at his home. He was born on October 8, 1972, in Washington, D.C. to Verlie Lois Cleveland and the late Edward Alan Zimmerman.

Jacob was a talented artist whose gift for drawing captured both beauty and emotion with remarkable skill. His creativity was only part of what made him special because his heart was just as extraordinary. He loved helping others and was always willing to lend a hand, offering support, encouragement, and compassion to anyone in need. Jacob cared deeply for his family and treasured the time he spent with them. His warmth, generosity, and gentle spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He also had a simple joy that made people smile…. a true love for chocolate milk!

Jacob will be remembered for his artistic talent, his beautiful heart, and the love he so freely gave.

In addition to his mother, Verlie, he is survived by his siblings, Caroline Zimmerman and Daniel Zimmerman (Sochitl); his nieces and nephews, Erika Bass (Dakota), Leia Rodriguez, Jason “Matt” Justice (Tamara), Travis Dunham, Alan Zimmerman, Samuel LeSueur, Chance Zimmerman, and Joey Rodriguez; his aunt and uncle, Shirley and Jimmy Tucker; and countless friends.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his cousin and best friend, Willis Meadows.
