George Wallace Lake Sr, age 72, of Elkton, Virginia, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2024, at his residence. He was born December 19,1951, in Altoona, Pennsylvania, to the late James and Mary Lake. George was a veteran, having served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. He went on to run his own contracting business and enjoyed fishing in his free time. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Tami Lake; their children, Angel (Aaron), George Jr. (Tonia), Sonja (Jason), Cassie (Wayne), and Dustin (Stephanie); two siblings, Neida Reese, and Leroy Lake; as well as eighteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Danny Lake, Charles Lake, and Peggy Jean Richards; and a granddaughter, Gabriella Markle.
