Edward "MAC" Nicholson, 69, of Luray, Va. went to be with the Lord February 7, 2022 at his home. Mac was born July 8, 1952 in Madison County to the late James C. and Nana Mae Nicholson. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 51 years, Juanita Nicholson; daughters Shirley A. Smoot (David) of Strawberry Plains, Tennessee, and V. Lynn Settle (John) of Luray, Virginia; seven loving grandchildren, Falecia Smoot (Hansford), Amy Smoot (Wayne), Brittney Smoot, Edward "Lee" Nicholson (Katie), Alice "Beth" Apperson (Charles), Kimberely Settle Perkins, and Christopher Edward Brewington Settle; ten great grandchildren; Eliana Bright, Jace Smoot, Raelynn Miller, Rosa Leigh Miller, Jayden Nicholson, Eliza McCauley, Teagan Scott, Logan Apperson, Arabella Apperson, and John-John Perkins; siblings, sister-in-law Mary Nicholson, Bobby Nicholson (Jean), Peggy Brown, Sue Dodson, and Jimmy Nicholson (Pam); and several nieces and nephews. Mac was preceded in death by his siblings, Billy Nicholson, Ann Jenkins (Fiesta), Robert Nicholson; brother in laws, Thomas Brown and William Dodson; as well as his beloved son, Edward Mac Nicholson Jr., we know he is now rejoicing with all. Mac was a hard-working man throughout his life, being employed at various farms and then becoming a businessman with his tree service. However, to a lot he was also known as a "GIFTED" mechanic. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Gourdvine Baptist Church, 7103 Eggbornsville Road, Rixeyville, with visitation at 2:00 pm and the service at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Mac's honor can be made to Gourdvine Baptist Church, 7103 Eggbornsville Road, Rixeyville, VA 22737.
