Obituary

In Loving Memory of Donna Marie Brown Born May 26, 1960 - Called Home October 21, 2025 Our mother, Donna Marie Brown, 65, of Charles Town, West Virginia, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, Virginia. She was born on May 26, 1960, in Daytona Beach, Florida, to Frances Graham and the late Howard Wright Sr. Mom spent her early years in Pensacola, Florida, surrounded by sunshine, faith, and family. Later, as the devoted wife of a veteran, she embraced the adventure of life-living in Georgia, Virginia, Indiana, and even Germany. No matter where life took her, she created warmth and belonging, turning every house into a home. Eventually, she and our dad settled in West Virginia, where their love grew roots deep enough to weather any storm. For the past 19 years, Mom was a faithful member of the Charles Town Church of Christ. Her devotion to God shaped every part of her life. She was the heart of our family-steady, nurturing, and full of grace. She had a quiet strength and an open heart, always ready to listen, to pray, or to feed anyone who came through her door. Cooking was one of her love languages; she found pure joy in preparing meals that brought everyone together. To know our mother was to know kindness. She lived her faith not just in words, but in every small act of care and compassion. Whether she was studying Scripture, comforting someone in need, or laughing with family over a home-cooked meal, she carried a light that reflected God's love. Donna leaves behind her loving mother, Frances Graham; her devoted children, Shanika McCloud and Andrew Brown, Jr.; her Son in-love, Gabriel McCloud and Daughter in-love, Miya Brown; beloved sisters, Pamela Wright-Brodus and Karen Wright-Parker; brother, James Graham; and grandchildren Jeremiah Brown, Brayden Brown, Samaura McCloud, and Joseph McCloud. She now rejoins in peace with those who went before her - her husband, Andrew Brown Sr., her father, Howard Wright Sr., her brother, Howard Wright, Jr., and her sister, Dedra Denise Wright. Her gentle spirit, her laughter, and her unwavering love will live on in us. Though her time here feels far too short, her impact is everlasting. Every prayer she prayed, every meal she shared, and every lesson she taught will continue to guide us. A service celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on October 30, 2025, at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home in Harper's Ferry, WV. Mom, your love was our home. We will carry your faith, your warmth, and your light with us always.
