Donald Gene Riter, 65, of Ruckersville, VA, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024, at his residence. He was born on November 15, 1958, in West Virginia to the late Ray and Norma Riter. Don loved being outdoors and going fishing. He had many skilled talents and was an experienced central vac installer. He will be remembered for his huge heart and deep love of his family and friends. He is survived by his longtime companion, Shelly Segan; his daughter, Victoria Ann Parsons (Roger Smith); his stepdaughter, Whitney Gormes (Sean Mawyer); his grandchildren, Jordan Smith, Moxen Mawyer, and Maddox Mawyer; his brother, Mark Riter; and numerous extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Danny Riter. A celebration of life to honor Don will be announced in the coming weeks.
