Dennis Ray Flint, Sr.

Dennis Ray Flint Sr., 65, of Barboursville, VA, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at his home. He was born on May 18, 1961, in Charlottesville, VA to the late Robert Barnes Flint and Ruth Jeanette Sadler.

Dennis was a man who found joy in life and in the people he loved most. A devoted NASCAR fan, he rarely missed a race and always cheered on his favorite drivers with excitement and passion. He was also a lifelong sports enthusiast who proudly supported his beloved UVA Cavaliers, especially during basketball and football season.

Music was a constant presence in his life, often playing softly in the background while he worked or spent time with family and friends. Dennis also had a special appreciation for classic cars, especially his treasured 1967 Mustang, which reflected both his pride and personality.

Known as a handyman who could fix just about anything, Dennis was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Whether tackling a project, solving a problem, or sharing his skills, he was someone people could always count on. He also enjoyed playing horseshoes, spending time outdoors, and making memories filled with laughter and friendly competition.

Dennis will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his love for family and friends, and the many passions that made him uniquely himself. His memory will live on in the stories shared, the music played, and the lives he touched through his kindness and generosity.

He is survived by children, Dennis Ray Flint, Jr., Anthony Allen Flint, Jennifer Nicole Flint, and Krystal Lynn Walton; his daughter-in-law, Genna Leanne Flint; and his grandchildren, Kaylee Ann Flint, Karlee Rae Flint, Zander Kayde Flint, Lavyn Kyle Roberts, and Cohen Reid Flint.

A service to celebrate Dennis’s life will be held privately.
