Dennis Thomas Destrempes, 74, of Gordonsville, VA, passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022, at Hospice of the Piedmont Center for Acute Hospice. He was born on June 14, 1947 in Newark, NJ. He was predeceased by his parents Leo George and Rose Mary (Ruo) Destrempes. Dennis proudly served our country in the United States Army as a Vietnam Combat Veteran. After moving to Virginia, he worked as a Program Manager for Social Services and later owned a cleaning business. He is survived by his sisters, Lorayne Lynch of Woonsocket, RI and Judith Smith of Cranston, RI; his nieces and nephews that he loved dearly; and his lifelong "Three Amigos" friends, Jim Cuddy and Jeff Feeley. A service and internment for Dennis will be held at Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter, RI, at a date to be determined.
