“Dory” Delores Lockerby, age 62, of Stanardsville, Virginia went to be with our lord on 1/27/2026, at home with her husband, Paul and daughter, Michelle by her side. Born 2/7/1963 in Canastota, NY to Harry and Margaret Babcock of Wampsville, NY.  Later moving to Sandy Creek NY in her teens where she married her childhood sweetheart Paul Lockerby in March 1983.

She attended Byrant & Stratton Business Institute, earning a Certificate Degree in Medical Office Management. Relocating to Virginia in 2000. She worked many years as a legal assistant for The Law Offices of Rob Hagy.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Paul Lockerby; daughter, Michelle Lockerby; grandchildren, “Tia” Chloe Lockerby & Willow Clay; sisters, Suzanne Knobling & Sylvia Hill; brothers, Steve Babcock, Philip Babcock, Dan Babcock & Ron Babcock. Along with many nieces & nephews.

She is preceded in death by, parents, Harry & Margaret Babcock; brothers, Harry Babcock II, Fred Babcock, Tom Babcock; and grandson, Evan Paul Nickell.

She enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, the ocean, making jewelry, baking/cooking, motorcycles, charity work with the Minutemen MC “Sisters” group.

She was greatly loved by many and will be missed by all that knew her. Dory’s wishes are no funeral service but rather a Celebration of Life, to be held Sunday, March 15th at the Elks Lodge, 389 Elk Dr, Charlottesville, VA 22911, at 12:00 noon.
