Danny W. Cook, 48, of Bristol, VA, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the University of Virginia Medical Center. He was born on June 20, 1977, in Richlands, VA to the late Granville and Thelma Slater Cook. A man of faith, Danny was baptized at Highlands Fellowship around 2015 by Pastor Steve Robinson, where he became a devoted member of the church. A proud graduate of Russell County High School, Danny built a strong work ethic that carried him through every stage of his life. He spent ten years at Diecast Connections Manufacturing Plant before continuing his career in the grocery industry, where he worked for several store chains. Danny served as a grocery manager at Ingles for six years, and his last place of employment was Sam's Club, where he was known for his reliability and friendly nature. Danny was a passionate wrestling fan and Ric Flair was his all-time favorite. His impressive collection of wrestling belts and action figures was a source of pride and joy. He also enjoyed cheering on his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers, fishing on quiet days, playing Xbox, and keeping his car detailed to perfection. Danny will be remembered for his dedication to his work, his loyalty to his favorite teams and hobbies, and the warmth he shared with those around him. He is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Cook; his children, Danny Cook, Jr., Joseph Cook, Adam Puckett, and Raven Lester; his stepsons, Hezekiah Childres, and Rocky Barnette; and his sister, Tammy Musick.
