Crystal Michelle Powell, 44, of Charlottesville, VA, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at her residence. She was born on June 27, 1980, in Charlottesville, VA, to Ruby Shifflett Powell and the late Thaddeus Powell. Crystal was a person whose heart was as vast and radiant as her name implied. Born with a natural ability to connect with people and an unwavering belief in kindness, she made it her mission to touch the lives of everyone she met. Crystal's story was one of unconditional love, empathy, and joy, leaving a lasting imprint on all who knew her. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her aunts and uncles, James Powell, Joyce Powell, Meredith Powell, Marcus Shifflett, Ruth Hamilton, Lessie Shifflett, and Betty Powell; two special cousins, Sherri Powell, and Donna Powell; a dear friend, James Rohrer; and numerous cousins, extended family, and friends. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her aunts and uncles, Christine Eppard, Leroy Eppard, Nora Dillon, Edwin Dillon, Raymond Powell, Linwood Powell, William Powell, Eleanor Powell, Clarice Powell, and Albutus Morris.
