Colin Daniel Sackett

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Colin Daniel Sackett, 47, who left this world on Saturday, August 29, 2026. Born to Craig Sackett (Karin) and Fran Smith (and the late RB), Colin lived a life defined by generosity, loyalty, and an unmistakable warmth that touched everyone he met. 

Colin is survived by his devoted wife, Nichole Everly, and their beloved fur babies, Gunner and Emma. He leaves behind his brothers Jesse Sackett (Michelle), Ian Spain (Blake), Peter Spain (Samantha), Lawton Smith (Amanda), his sister Miranda Foley (Jim), and eleven cherished nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Tricia Fultz-Nowak, and a wide circle of friends including Eddie Shifflett, Mark Eppard, Jesse Morris, Shane “Smokey” Marshall, Sean and Amber Lail Page Remley, and countless others whose lives he brightened. 

Known by many as a true “Gentle Giant,” Colin was one of a kind. A gifted mechanic, he could fix just about anything—but his greatest talent was the way he cared for people. If he wasn’t under the hood of a vehicle, he was out living life fully and joyfully. Colin never hesitated to help anyone in need and would give you the shirt off his back—if he happened to be wearing one. His presence left an unforgettable mark on the hearts of those fortunate enough to know him.

In Colin’s own words: “If I were to die today, I’d die a happy man.” He lived that truth every day, and his legacy of kindness, laughter, and love will continue to shine through all who carry his memory.
