Ann Coman, 56, of Middlebrook, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at the University of Virginia Medical Center. Born in Passaic, New Jersey, to the late Viorel and Anna Coman, Ann lived a vibrant and creative life. Her passions took her to New York where she graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in1991 and later the Swedish Institute, College of Health Sciences in 2003, earning a bachelor's degree that supported her multifaceted career as a massage therapist and accomplished artist. Ann was a faithful Roman Catholic and a devoted parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church in Staunton, Virginia. Her deep spirituality and compassion were evident in both her work and her daily life. She was self-employed as a massage therapist, using her healing hands and intuitive spirit to bring comfort to many. Since her teens, Ann's artwork radiated the same warmth and depth that defined her soul. Whether through stained glass, pastels, or other media, Ann created with heart, always seeking to bring light and peace into the world. She found joy in nature and the outdoors, cherished time at the beach, and practiced yoga and meditation as ways to connect more deeply with the world and those around her. Ann is survived by her beloved sisters, Maria Rogers and Victoria Coman; sisters-in-law, Margarita Coman and Valerie Coman; and her treasured nieces and nephews: Michael Charles Rogers, Paul Viorel Rogers, Lauren Michele Coman, Paul Viorel Coman, Brooke Coman, Yolanda La Monica, Rocky La Monica, and Jennifer La Monica. She is also remembered with love by a host of dear friends whose lives she touched deeply. In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her brothers, John Coman, Basil Michael Coman, and Paul Viorel Coman. A funeral mass to honor Ann's life will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 10:00 am, at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 118 N New Street, Staunton, Virginia.
