Mary Elizabeth Jimenez

Mary Jimenez, 66, of Charlottesville, Virginia, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 27, 2023. She was born to the late Henry H. and Mary Morris Thacker on January 3, 1957. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Gertrude Johnson, and Mildred Shifflett; and five brothers, Henry Thacker, Sr., Roger Thacker, Gary Thacker, Shannon Thacker, and Henry Thacker, Jr. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Francisco "Chiquis" Jimenez; her seven furry children; her three sons that she helped raise, Chris Lindsey, Daniel Lindsey, and Micheal Lindsey; her four sisters, Sarah Jackson (David) of Palmyra, VA, Doris Foglio of Buckingham, VA, Pamela Bowles (Nathan) of Fork Union, VA, and Angela Felton (Booshawn) of Fork Union, VA; a host of nieces and nephews that she loved dearly; and many special friends. The family would like to thank her caregiver and friend, Itzel, for being there and taking good care of her. A Celebration of Life for Mary will be held on June 10, 2023, from 10 am to 3 p.m. at 1317 E. Market St. Charlottesville, VA 22902. The Broken Chain We little knew that day, God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death, we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you. You did not go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us beautiful memories; your love is still our guide. And although we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same, But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.
